Funerals
Love. Compassion. Understanding. Empathy. These are the qualities a minister should have when officiating a funeral. This is not a time for condemnation, judgment, or making anyone feel any worse for any reason.
We never know why our loved ones are taken from us. And because we love them so much, we experience an overwhelming amount of grief. A minister should be kind and offer words of comfort. To give hope to the families and friends of the one who made their transition, and to know that their loved one lives on in some way, if only in their hearts.
There really are no words that will take away the pain of losing someone we loved so much and who had been such a big part of our lives. Therefore, the words we do impart should be based in pure, unconditional, perfect love. It doesn't matter how the person passed, what kind of life they lived, what they believed, or who they were. Funerals should be a ceremony to help the families, friends, and loved ones deal with their grief and to be able to say good-bye to the person they loved so much with integrity and dignity.
Funerals
Religious, spiritual, secular, non-denominational, and more.
Locations
Any location. Karen is open to traveling any distance, but would need to be compensated for her expenses for any distance greater than a one-hour drive. (Karen does try to keep the expenses for travel as low as possible for the benefit of the grieving family.)
Fees
Fees are normally included with the funeral home expenses. This fee includes funeral and grave site ceremonies, as well as meeting with the family beforehand to plan the ceremony. Reasonable compensation for gas and hotels if required would be additional.
